View Full Version : Why is this Forum so Quite ?
To Everyone that doesnt post is there a reason you dont post at all because people arent even posting thanks or even posting in genreal chat much. If there is a reason why post it in here an we will address it. Just thought i would get the members view on this.

thought u were gonna behave this time elster lol ;) .. or do you just not like Wazo?
Wazo, I think its purely that last time round we were deleting members with no posts so they were forced to participate, this time round thats not happening so far, but the thing is there is a LOT less moaning going on. at the end of the day, superiorpics is successful because (until the recent server upgrade made it incredibly unreliable) its open so people can choose to join, post or just look (ignoring the fact that rule-changes there are only about every 6 months and they are black and white)
i bet you're actually finding it a lot easier to mod too whereas we were constantly tearing our hair out last time round..
In all honesty mate, as the saying goes - if it aint broke dont fix it .. or slightly more apt - don't rock the boat.

People should have appreciated what they had when they had it. Not gone power crazy and jumping on every post to make themselves look important.
They should also have listen to reason instead of making people out to be trouble causers and rule breakers when they wasn't.
Banning these types of members so they could sit round and pat one another on their backs was always going to lead no where.
This type of forum just hasn't got the content to be a dictatorship.

That has sweet fa do to with here though. I really don't see where that's relevent apart from bringing up something which has little effect now  In the past people were rule breaking it's just some people decided not to see it and told anyone who did that their judgement was clouded.

last time round, i can admit from bein an admin that all the problems came from above. i mean the owner sacked wazo without even consulting me shorty or gaz. the constant rule changes were a mixture of coming from above and what we saw as 'good for the site' we desperately tried to get the stupid age rule changed etc. this time round it seems we have a much better owner who's letting wazo take control as he sees fit

1. Everything to do with the quiet of this site and others. You asked why, the whole point of the thread. I gave a suggestion.
2. Memory
3. Nobody could point to rules broken. Despite numerous challenges. It was purely personal.

Yip! And you're the one trying to start an online arguement with little comments like that :D Key word in your sentence "ON-LINE" as in, something to do when ON-LINE. You're comment seems a little weird, what else am I meant to do in an online forum chat area????

Don't come onto an on-line forum and get out a lot lot more often?
Your stating to do it again. Accusing people of starting arguments. Look back, I am responding to your thread and post. Just not in the way you want, therefore your getting into a childish strop about it.
How about this. Stop responding to me and end of 'argument'.
Good idea, yes? Difficult concept, no?
Perhaps the person who likes to argue is closer to home.

To be honest from an outsiders point of view, its conversations like that that have stopped people from posting. Its a Forum, and a once great one. Don't take it too seriously. Banter is great but sometimes it can come across as abit OTT...
Just my opinion. :D

honestly this is getting out of hand, the end of the last forum we were making changes for the better, everything was far more under control and we knew what we needed to succeed, then the owner told you all the site was closing without telling us. me rogue and shorty were goin to take the site on ourselves as we knew how to make it work. i was taking emails of those who listed them, but the site was taken down - contrary to what the owner said - before the expiry of the ownership so I didnt think I had enough names for us 3 to take on the responsibilty, and at the same time I got ill.
The spirit of the last forum - with the learnt lessons - has carried over, which is great. If you forget all the crap from last time round and give it a chance we can make it great.

Victoria Pages does nt seem as hot these days,
maybe people are losing interest a bit ?
or are the celebs getting a bit boring ?

Personally i think it is down to more similar forums popping up and these days, the same things get posted between them all. All in the content of a forums boards i think to keep the members around a little longer.

Quite!
and as for why these forums are so QUIET I thought it's because this forum changed URLs with a new owner because this place was closing, then Rogue and Wazo decided they didn't want to be part of the new forum any more splitting the membership down the middle.....

It's simple really why the old boards died.
They became clannish and pally. The 'in crowed' where allowed to, by and large, do what they liked and say what they liked and the rules of the forum where interpreted leniently and loosely. Others, who technically weren't breaking any rules were being come down on like a tonne of bricks and being banned for absolutely nothing.
Normally the ones being banned where the ones the where the most stimulatory to the boards and contributed the most, not just with general chat but also pictures and clips. When these where gone all that was left were the 'in crown', that is, friends of the mods congratulating one another on how great they are.
This led to very dull and boring threads and people just stopped posting and reading.
The final nail was the constant changing of sites and the fracturing, with different members trying to start their own sites up.
These boards and the chat therein should be left dead, leave them to the leeches who contributed nothing and just took.

Remebering correctly Wazo left the 2nd birth of the original forum then got banned because the owner forgot to remove his admin rights, so Wazo played havoc with the whole set up of the forum and made it hell for the mods left there. Rogue left the staff due to not getting any feedback from the owner and the impression of shoddy management the owner was displaying all mixed with his own personal life commitments. All in all the question asked in the title of this thread i still personally think it has gone quiet everywhere due to all celeb based forums on the net because they all hold the same content within it's boards.
No matter which forum you visit you will find their same members contributing more than others because they like supplying new stuff to the regular members who thank and comment on their posts. There is a new forum rumoured to be started by a member on here, and i'm looking forward to her firing it up so i can help flesh the place out.

superior pics must be one of the biggest forums on the net
but with that comes a kind of arrogance,
they will delete a thread without warning
a thread perhaps with a ton of photos and vids
or else lock some brilliant thread just for someone
replying ( or bumping ) after 30 days.
